MANUSCRIPT FORMATTING REQUIREMENTS

N1: The first page of the manuscript must include the title in both Spanish and English, the full names of all authors, their corresponding affiliations, and each author’s email address. Each author must be listed on a separate line. When the submitted manuscript is written in English, the entire document must be provided in English.

N2: Submitted manuscripts may include a maximum of six authors.

N3: Biomedicaline Scientific and Medical Publishing accepts manuscripts in both Spanish and English. Each submission must include the title, abstract, and keywords in both languages. When the original title is in English, a Spanish translation is not required.

N4: The abstract must not exceed 300 words.

N5: Keywords must correspond to relevant terms included in the submitted manuscript.

N6: In-text references must be numbered consecutively and presented in superscript. The reference list must follow Vancouver style. Footnotes may not be used as a referencing system. Superscript reference numbers must be placed before punctuation marks, not after them. This requirement applies to theses and manuscripts in the Health Sciences.

Manuscripts in Chemistry, Biological Sciences, Biotechnology, Social Sciences, and Education must follow APA style.

N7: Authors are advised not to include more than 30 bibliographic references. The reference list must appear at the end of the manuscript.

N8: Manuscripts must be submitted in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx).

N9: The manuscript must be formatted in Calibri Light, 10-point font, with justified alignment and 1.5 line spacing.

Submissions may include graphs, tables, and photographs. The author or authors of each photograph must be clearly identified. When graphs, tables, or photographs do not belong to the manuscript’s author, Biomedicaline will assume that the author has obtained the necessary authorization from the intellectual property rights holder for their publication.

N10: All tables, graphs, and photographs must be placed at the end of the manuscript in the appendices section and must be properly cited throughout the text. The appendices must appear immediately after the reference list.

N11: Manuscripts must contain a minimum of 10,000 words. Words included in the English-language abstract, authors’ names, references, and appendices will not be included in the minimum word count.

The maximum permitted length is 100,000 words, including the reference list and appendices.

N12: Manuscripts submitted to Biomedicaline Scientific and Medical Publishing must be original and unpublished. Any manuscript previously published by another publishing house, journal, or other dissemination medium will be rejected, and the amount paid will not be refundable.

TYPES OF SUBMISSIONS

Clinical Case Reports

Clinical case reports must include the following sections:

Title; authors’ full names and affiliations; abstract; two to six keywords; introduction; clinical case presentation; discussion and conclusions; and bibliographic references.

Nursing case reports must also include an assessment section based on Virginia Henderson’s Basic Needs Model or Marjory Gordon’s Functional Health Patterns, together with NANDA nursing diagnoses and the corresponding NIC and NOC classifications.​

Qualitative and Quantitative Research Studies

Qualitative and quantitative research studies must include the following sections:

Title; authors’ full names and affiliations; abstract; two to six keywords; introduction; objective or objectives; methodology; discussion and conclusions; and bibliographic references.

This category may also include written and detailed research plans developed by an individual professional or a research group to address a problem identified during professional or healthcare practice.

Systematic Reviews

Systematic reviews must include the following sections:

Title; authors’ full names and affiliations; abstract; two to six keywords; introduction; objective or objectives; methodology; results; discussion and conclusions; and bibliographic references.

Monographic Studies

Monographic studies are intended to compile and analyze the greatest possible amount of relevant information on a specific topic, including its most significant aspects.

Degree Completion Projects

Biomedicaline also accepts:

Undergraduate Degree Completion Projects (TFG) and Master’s Degree Final Projects (TFM).

BIBLIOGRAPHIC REFERENCES

Bibliographic references must comply with:

• Vancouver style for manuscripts in the Health Sciences.

• APA style for manuscripts in Chemistry, Biological Sciences, Biotechnology, Social Sciences, and Education.

BIBLIOGRAPHIC REFERENCES

• References must be numbered consecutively according to the order in which they first appear in the text. In-text citations must be indicated using superscript numbers.

• Biomedicaline recommends including a maximum of 35 bibliographic references and requires a minimum of 10 references.ETHICAL STANDARDS

• For research involving human participants and/or animals, authors must state whether the procedures performed complied with the ethical standards established by the responsible ethics committees.

• In studies involving individuals and/or patients, no participant may be identified by name, initials, or recognizable photographs. The individual or patient must be informed that the clinical case will be handled confidentially and submitted for publication. Written informed consent from the patient or their legal representative is mandatory before the case may be published.

• Clinical trial manuscripts must include, at the end of the document, the approval or favorable opinion issued by the corresponding Bioethics Committee.

PEER-REVIEW PROCESS

• All submitted manuscripts will undergo peer review by members of the Editorial Board and Scientific Committee. The review process will assess the scientific quality of the manuscript and its compliance with Biomedicaline’s publication guidelines.

• Reviewers may request corrections or modifications from the authors before the manuscript can be accepted for publication.

• Accepted works will be published by Biomedicaline Scientific and Medical Publishing. Each author will receive an official certificate of authorship by email.

• Certificates of authorship will be formally endorsed by Biomedicaline Scientific and Medical Publishing.

ANTI-PLAGIARISM POLICY

• Biomedicaline uses specialized plagiarism-detection software to evaluate submitted manuscripts.

• Any manuscript in which plagiarism is detected will be rejected, and the amount paid will not be refundable.

• To prevent plagiarism, all information obtained from other sources must be properly cited and referenced in accordance with the applicable academic style.
